Hey everyone!! Well, this year sure has started off like a lightening bolt! I can't believe that we are almost at March! What a great year it has been already - I have lots of exciting news starting with the fact that we are nearly finished my second album which I am so grateful to RAWLCO Radio for helping to fund through their 10k20 program! I am so excited to share this one with everyone as I think it will really show my growth as both a writer and a vocalist. In January, I was honored to be in the top 5 nominees for Female Artist of the Year at the Alberta Country Music Awards. It was a fantastic event and I had a blast! I am thrilled to also be nominated by the 2012 Edmonton Music Awards in 2 categories - Female Artist of the Year (all genres) and Country Album of the Year (I think my producer Matty McKay is also pretty excited about this one)! I also have had some firsts this year: first 'offical' music video for my single "Cute Boy" (check that out on my media page) .... first time being featured in a TV series (Alberta On My Mind) being aired on Shaw television .... and first time meeting a 6 year old girl with cancer and discovering how inspiring a young child like this can be (check out my BLOG for that story). This has been an incredible journey and I thank you all for being part of it - looking forward to the rest of 2012 and all of the firsts, seconds and thirds I will get to experience along the way!
